I have Specific Rat Diet Concerns?

I'd recommend Mazuri rat food and giving treats every once in a while. It is perfectly formulated for rats and is what most breeders and labs use. Keep in mind labs need the healthiest rats possible, so they feed the best food. However since my pet store and feed store didn't carry Mazuri I fed my breeder rats Ol' Roy dog food. I just picked out any of the heavily dyed pieces because that stuff is bad. My rats did well on it but I did give them treats like fruit, meat, and peanut er crackers.
