Why don't we have any exceptional political leaders like we did during WWII?

Good and evil aside (even though it's hard), were Winston Churchill, Adolf Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin exceptional leaders or did the war bring out traits that would not necessarily have been exhibited otherwise?
